About Me

I grew up in Wellington, before moving to Auckland in 2002 to start my first professional full-time job.

I've always loved designing for the web, I remember my first website... it wasn't much, but I designed it, I built it, I managed to get it onto the web for the world to see ...I was hooked!

Since then, I've evolved alongside the Internet, keeping up with the latest trends and technology as they rapidy accelerate.

During my career I've designed for many SaaS and product companies including:

• PaySauce - payroll and employment FinTech
• Fuel50 - AI powered skills workforce
• Cemplicity - patient feedback capture & analysis
• Unleashed - online inventory management
• Orion Health - global healthcare solutions provider

I also keep my coding chops active by building and maintaining my own suite of websites, some of which include:

• PAYE.net.nz - personal finance tools
• Garnish - digital receipe book
• Snells - mood board application
• Quiz Remote - pub quiz app for remote teams

So rather than build my portfolio in Webflow or Squarespace, I prefer to pull out a code editor. Sometimes even building my own drag and drop applications!

I believe my understanding of web technoligies makes me a better designer. Knowing what the web can and can't do helps both push the boundries and keep things real.

When I'm not on a computer, I love spending time with my family, exploring new places and relaxing with a glass of wine.
